  16.         Celerity BBS may be obtained on many bulletin boards throughout
  17. the country (including Exec-PC and Compuserve), but only as a demo
  18. version.  If you wish to run a system with more than ten users and use
  19. your own handle as sysop, then you must get a registered copy.  This
  20. file contains the information you will need to register your copy, so
  21. please read it carefully.

  23.         Note the file at which this date was written, and don't send
  24. money if an inappropriate amount of time has passed (ie: if you're
  25. reading this sometime after June 1993, I'd recommend you locate a more
  26. recent copy of Celerity - $5 to the following address will do this if
  27. you can't find it elsewhere).

  34.         Please note that there are currently two official Celerity
  35. support locations, one in the United States and one in Canada.
  36. Registration fees and support can be gotten from either of these,
  37. regardless of your country of residence - call and mail to whichever is
  38. less expensive.  The application contains a section for the United
  39. States and then one for Canada.  If you send your registration to the
  40. US, registration fees must be in U.S. Dollars.  If you send it to
  41. Canada, fees are in Canadian dollars.  Note that the prices are
  42. different for US and Canadian sites, although they are pretty much the
  43. same when international conversions are considered.

  45. For sysops outside the United States and Canada, you may be able to
  46. download the most recent version of Celerity from one of the following

  55. We are always looking for support boards outside of North America.  If
  56. you are interested in running a Celerity support board, please contact
  57. us at the United States support board (310-693-9405).

  59.         Periodically, old copies of Celerity will "expire", which is
  60. done to keep users from using archaic copies and upgrading from time to
  61. time. A version will usually last for about 4 months after the next
  62. version is released.  If you do not call the support board, and are not
  63. having copies mailed to you, it would be prudent to send us $5 every
  64. couple months for the latest version.

  72. The Celerity BBS software is provided as-is.  It is your responsibility
  73. to ensure the compatibility of your system with Celerity, which may be
  74. done by installing the demo version.  Periodic updates will be issued,
  75. usually at the rate of one version per quarter to solve bugs which may
  76. appear and add additional features.  We have no obligation to continue
  77. to develop Celerity, although we will most likely continue to do so for
  78. some time to come.

  80. If you want to try out Celerity before purchasing the package, you can
  81. find a demo version on most BBS systems.  Demo versions are complete,
  82. except for a 10-user limit and the inability to define a sysop handle.

  89. This form is for sysops who wish to license Celerity for use on their
  90. own personal bulletin board system.  Please fill out the form as
  91. completely as possible and select the options you wish.

  93. The Celerity support system in the United States is Terrapin Station,
  94. which can be reached at 310-693-9405 at 9.6/14.4/16.8kbps HST, 9.6kbs
  95. v32, and 9.6/14.4kbps v32bis connections.  No 1200bps calls are
  96. accepted, although some boards in the CelerityNet network do accept this
  97. speed.  If you do not choose to have the validation utility and software
  98. upgrades sent to you via U.S. Mail, you will have to call this system to
  99. get your validation utility. Copies of the most recent version can be
  100. downloaded from this system, or you may send $5 to the above address to
  101. have a copy mailed to you.

  103. Please note that if you register by mail, it may take a few weeks for
  104. your registration information to be sent to you.  The reason for this is
  105. that if a new version is pending release, we will wait until it is
  106. finished before sending out the new registrations, thus assuring that
  107. people get the latest version.

  201. through FidoNet at 1:163/272 pr SBNet at 1:613/101.  No 1200 or 2400 bps
  202. calls are accepted.  If you do not choose to have the validation utility
  203. and software upgrades sent to you via Canadian Post, you will have to
  204. call this system to get your validation utility. Copies of the most
  205. recent version can be downloaded from this system, or you may send $5 to
  206. the address below to have a copy mailed to you.
